MD/DC District Export Council NewsTechnology Export CEO Roundtable Posted: 10-18-2006 The MD/DC DEC in cooperation with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), M&T Bank, and the Baltimore U.S. Export Assistance Center will be conducting a three-day course in late 2006 to help the senior managers of technology companies overcome barriers to exporting. The course premise is that small and mid-size technology companies have the capability to increase their contribution to U.S. exports but face a variety of barriers. Barriers to exporting can be diminished if senior managers become knowledgable of the exporting process and are involved in developing their own company-specific exporting plans. The first offering of the course is now filled with a second session planned for 2007. Watch the Meetings & Events section of this website for dates and registration information or contact Mark Rice, President of Maritime Applied Physics Corp., at 443-524-3330 or mrice@mapcorp.com.
